Exacor is a Magnesium Oxide (MgO) panel that can be used for sheathing, underlayment, and subflooring.
These panels are specifically engineered to meet the fire-rating, sound-rating, and dimensional stability requirement of most multifamily and light commercial jobsites.

Underlayment Features & Benefits:
Speeds up construction time by two full weeks
-GypCrete has that long drying time and no tradesmen can't be in the building and working during that period
-This is a massive value for developers and by far their favorite part of the product
Works better for high humidity environments, such as St. Louis
-Moisture and mold is a big problem in high humidity environments using Gypcrete as the process introduces a lot of moisture into the building
-Because of this, most developers spend a lot of time and resources bleaching hallways and walls for mold on every floor after a Gypcrete lay in high humidity
Streamlined ordering process
-We can do project quotes for large jobs that allows us to lock in pricing for the duration of the project and send trucks, one at a time, at an even cadence to the jobsite. This helps to reduce overall storage needs on the jobsite and reduces complexity.
-A truck is 16,000 square feet of coverage, which is about what a framing crew can frame in a typical week
Major jobsite storage improvements
-GypCrete requires a lot of storage space and is very messy. For example, dump trucks worth of sand will be sent to the job and make for an absolute mess during and after the GypCrete process.
-GypCrete also requires a pump line to run from the mixer into the building. These pump lines can break and fail and can cause costly damages and delays.
Exterior Sheathing Features & Benefits:
Meets fire code requirements for exterior sheathing
-Exacor sheathing is a excellent option for exterior fire retardant sheathing. It is a direct substitute for FRTW plywood and LP FlameBlock.

Available in 9' and 10' panels
-Exacor sheathing is available in 4x9 and 4x10 panels to match more industry standard wall heights. The longer panels mean less cutting and ripping, quicker installation, and fewer seams that could trap water and moisture.
Can be pre-assembled on wall panels for panelized construction
-Exacor is fully approved for pre-assembled wall panels and can be easily installed in pre-fab shops. It performs well in transit shipping and there are no conernes about breaking or damage.

A Case Study of Material & Labor Versus Alternatives
Exacor Underlayment versus GypCrete
-GypCrete install (material and labor) runs anywhere from $1.70 - $2.00 / square foot
-1/2" 4x8 Exacor for Underlayment:
-Material cost is roughly $1.35/square foot delivered
-Installation is anywhere from $0.10 - $0.30/square foot
-On a typical job of about 40,000 square feet, your material and labor savings for just the underlayment itself is $10,000 - $15,000. BUT THEN ON TOP OF THAT, you have the time savings and the improved schedule for tradesmen, so hard to justify that soft cost as it depends on the project, but you can roughly estimate that every week saved is about $20,000 in saved carrying costs. So if you’re picking up two weeks, plus the material, you’re well over $50,000 in estimated savings.
Exacor Sheathing versus Comparable 2-Sided OSB Products
-Exacor sheathing runs 30-40% less than comparable fire code sheathing OSB products.
-A typical truck of Exacor is roughly $18,000 less per truck than the comparable competition.
